Uploading an excel list to the sharepoint, it couldn't recognize the datatype of the values

Hi,

Creating a list by uploading the excel file, it couldn't recognize the datatype of the values. If user manually updates the same, it sets different.

Ex: date as datatype

It initially took single line text as data type, tried to update the type to date and time. It reset date to year 1900
