SharePoint no longer sends copy of invite to sharer of a folder
Hi All,
So, the sharer no longer receives a CC of the invite when sharing a folder/document within a document library. It would be nice if we could choose to enable this or not, as many users find it VERY useful to see that the invite has gone. I have received several calls from users who think it hasn't worked when in reality, the feature was removed by MS around 2-3 months ago. It still CC's the sharer on a Library level, but nothing below that. It's been happening across multiple sites/tenants and has been confirmed as a change committed by the dev team a while ago. What do you think?

I'd also noticed that the sharer emails had stopped. Not sure why this was implemented as I have frequently used that email trail and it provides user convidence that the sharing has been successful.
Yep, we have been discussing this over here cc StephenRice

Are your users EXO enabled? If so, they can check their sent items folder and they should see the mails going out. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Stephen,
They are indeed!
Unfortunatley, we cannot see the emails in the sent folder at all. The only way to be sure the email went out is to check the recipient, or the access rights on the folder/file.
Thanks,
Jake.
