SharePoint Migration Tool Question
Hello,
I'm trying to use the SharePoint Migration Tool to migrate my users home drive content into OneDrive. I'm doing some testing and the tool is telling me that I am not a SharePoint Online Admin user. The account I'm using to run the tool is an Office 365 Global Admin account. What other permissions am I missing?
Thank you.

When you are migrating to OneDrive you need to make sure you have full control over User's OneDrive Site. Make sure you add yourself as Site Collection Admin on User's OneDrive. You can do this from Admin Center.

The migration tool are generally capable to auto-promote your account used as Site Collection admin into the OneDrive Site collection.
Look the Sharegate if you can, the settings is by default enable
From our side, we invited the user to do the personal content migration from Computer drive or network drive by themselves and not migrate the user account with a tool, and finally due to our size it was probably the best option.

Even Office 365 Global Admins do not have default access to OneDrive for Business libraries.
There are some resources for how to do this here:
