Sharepoint columns sync with File Explorer view, or an alternative option
Hi all I'm more an admin person rather than IT, but have been asked to find a solution for one of our directors who prefers to open his documents using File Explorer over Sharepoint online. And b...
But WHY use the explorer???
You're just asking for trouble and there are absolutely no benefits at all!
Scrap that crap and start from SharePoint or shortcuts to SharePoint in OneDrive online instead!

Cant open zip files in sharepoint, or many other filetypes that are not natively in the microsoft ecosystem.
If it's not .xlsx, .docx, .pptx, .pdf etc, file explorer is your only hope (other than downloading from sharepoint then opening, but again you'd just be in the downloads folder of your file explorer). Also the .pdfs wont launch in your native pdf program, it just uses the browser.
So that's why explorer.
