Search results not appearing when logged in as a external user

Hi 

I am running into an issue when I perform a search on the home screen "Search this site". 

No results appear. When I am logged into SPO site as an external user with "read" access only.

 

However, if I am logged in as a member I can see the search results.

 

Is there a way to allow external users to perform a "Search this Site" search and it will return results?

    Hello! I suggest you can create a new O365 group for only external accounts. Then create a new enterprise search with the mappings to managed and crawled props (Like a clone members can use, but similar one). Then put external user group to your search center and notice that right sharings are in place to find it. Maybe it sounds stressful but the effect would be that you as admin have best control on what is shown only for the right person. And SharePoint is yet an internal Portal and should be. Remember GDPR/DSGVO.... greets, Eva
