Printing a document directly from a SharePoint document library
I am tring to figure out if there is a way to print a document directly from a document library list without opening the document up. Users are use to right-clicking on a Word document in Windows Ex...
This option doesn't exist in SharePoint as the general idea of SharePoint is to kill less trees ;-)
If this is a requirement you will most likely be looking at a JavaScript solution. So somthing like this:
The main issue is that you don't have much control over how the document is printed. Therefore opening the document properly and making the application responsible for the printing is the easier option.

The java script solution looks like it may work but I did not want to have to do any scripting. I think I am sticking with the option of just opening the document and pritning it for now.
