Opening 3D-PDF / HTML files directly from Sharepoint/Teams
Hey y'all
I've been trying to make it possible for me and my team to store our 3D-models in Sharepoint using either 3D-PDF or HTML files. Unfortunately i cant get it to work properly. We use Windows PCs and Android tablets.
The html files get stuck in a loading loop (Solidworks html export using eDrawings, similar to the corresponding app/software). Opening them from Sharepoint or via Teams and using the "Open in App"-button in the top right corner circumvents this and makes it work, but it only works on the Windows PCs. On the Android tablets i can click the button but nothing happens.
The 3D PDF files dont work at all using the Sharepoint/Teams PDF viewer.
Yes, we could use the eDrawings Viewer but in order to do it we have to download the files from sharepoint, which kinda ruins the point of having a cloud solution.
Is there any way to get Sharepoint to display the 3D html files properly?

When it comes to non-Microsoft files like that, we typically advise users to Add a shortcut to OneDrive to the library then open File Explorer to work with those files.
