New List Experience - Turn Off Pop up window
Hello everyone,
We have the new SharePoint list experience and honestly, we hate it so much!
It is so buggy and we want to roll back.
1. When we click on new item or open an item, it opens up in a teeny tiny pop-up. Is there any way to revert to the full screen that opens from the right? We had a great three-column set up and now the form opens in a tiny window in a single column.
2. When we click on the column name to filter/sort or edit, it keeps throwing an error "Could not find tow selection cell or item key header" and have to refresh the page to access the list again.
3. Layout and formatting have gone haywire and all the align and padding conditional formatting done through column JSON formatting are no longer consistent across devices.
4. SharePoint list form with conditional JSON formatting to show/hide is behaving strangely where sometimes it's missing the fields. Switching the dependent radio button to something else and back magically shows the fields again.
Why does Microsoft shove such a buggy awful product down our throats with no rollback option? This is something we should opt in for experiments and definitely not ready for production tenants.
We absolutely hate this!
Is there anyone else in a similar boat and could share some tips on how to tackle these bugs?
Thanks in advance.

- Spencey11Copper ContributorIf this is here to stay as the new UI experience does anyone know the popup dimensions? That way I will be able set the PowerApps customized form to a custom size which will fit rather than using the default large Landscape!? Anybody know if the default portrait fits? Lots of forms to fix. 😞

Spencey11 the new UI is here to stay as far as i'm aware.
for custom powerapps forms, you can set custom sizes, i'd check what your standard resolution is for those who will be using the forms, i don't think these custom forms can be set to dynamic like canvas apps.
Personally i've found that creating canvas apps instead have gave a lot more control and reliability. Had loads of issues with lists.
- duckwarCopper ContributorHas anyone had an luck with changing this from a popup window to full screen like the old version of Microsoft Lists
- kellyhickman14096Brass ContributorMy issue exactly. All I want is my three column view back instead of one column that we have to scroll through to locate content, which is ridiculous. I have been stalking all manner of Sharepoint forums to see if anyone has found a workaround to this updated nonsense to no avail. I think we're stuck with it at this point.
- asra1989Copper ContributorSo this is permanent now, it has been a month - I was hoping for a solution....
- Dave_743Copper ContributorI have faced the same issues. The new UI slowly rolled out across our users, recently they were using Lists within teams as this was still using the full screen mode for editing items, but unfortunately this has also now updated to the new UI.
Previously I had JSON code that did three columns and showed all the information in one view for the users, now they have to do a fair bit of scrolling to view the same information.
Only workarounds that have worked for me so far is to use JSON code to show two columns, turn off commenting on the lists so that the comments window doesnt automatically appear every time you edit an item. (another annoying feature that can't be just disabled from view)
Filters regularly do not load. Majority of our lists are under 5,000 items with views making them much less than this.
Hoepfully improvements will be made.....
