Moving Complicated Subsite to new Site collection
Instance: SharePoint 2013 Online with Office 365
Problem: I have a subsite that is very large and taking up too much space. I want to move it.
Issue: I cannot save it as a template because they insisted (and were approved by someone other than me) on using these Skybow apps and the template can't save because of them.
Additional Issue: I can't save the document libraries as templates because they are too large.
So I'm looking for a way around all of this. I am not familiar with PowerShell and I'm not sure my company will purchase an application just for this team.
Any options I am missing?? Thank you in advance!

I would do export /import to get your subsite moved. you can do that from powershell or Central admin if you have access. sure thing is to keep a back up.

Haven't used ShareGate in a while, but back then (more than 3 years ago) the 15 day trial included full functionality.
- But don't say that over here ;-)...sharegate's people are watching ^-^
Jennifer. I haven't done it in awhile, but I believe you may be able to "export" a subsite and then import it into another site collection. This is the back-up functionality of SharePoint. Or, if the new Site Collection doesn't exist you should be able to "export/Import" the entire site collection and then delete the dupplicate content.
- Yeap, it's fine for SP OnPrem but not for SP Online so she will have to:
(1) Write the PowerShell required to do the move.
(2) Use a migration tool :-)
- Dean_GrossSilver ContributorWhat do you mean by SharePoint 2013 Online with Office 365? this phrase is confusing to me.
Are you trying to move content from 2013 to SPOnline?
With the recent increase in storage limits, site collections can be much larger and size is not really much of a concern.- Jennifer GonzalezCopper Contributor
Sorry for my stupid phrasing...
I meant to say SharePoint Online (2013). Not sure why I wrote that so confusing.
