Menu not updating
Hi, what is wrong with the menus in SharePoint? The changes only show on the computer I am using for editing the menu. This is the case for both "website menus" as well as hub site menus. It has been days since I made the updates and the client has deleted all cookies etc. I have even tried looking at the menu in the SharePoint-app on my iPhone, but I see the same as the client, ie the old version. Any ideas?

- Irene_Lappalainen225Brass ContributorWe are also facing this issue in several customer tenants.
- Same here. Hub Menu not updating days after a change was made.
I am having the same issue. Either you clear the cookies or click the top right gear -> change the look -> Header -> select any other Layout -> save -> hard refresh the page.
But this is not a practical solution, just my browser is showing the updated changes after this, rest of the company is getting the older version.. This is weird!

HelenaStarenby I discovered the same problem in a SP hub site navigation and associated sites. Many employees reported that the updated menu items were not visible until after they cleared their cache. I don't recall having this problem until a few days ago, when I turned on Audience Targeting for that menu -- and had applied targeting for the submenu where items were not refreshing. I turned off Audience Targeting for that hub site navigation, and everyone reported the submenu refreshed and they could see all the current items listed. So I have a feeling this might have something to do (at least in part) with Audience Targeting applied to hub site navigation menus. I hope this report helps any of you who are experiencing this frustration.
- HeikeSchaeferCopper ContributorI have exactly the same issue. I have to have the users clear their browser cookies, otherwise the hub menu (on the root site) would not show the changes. Very frustrating.
- stephen2085Copper ContributorLooks like the issue is only occurring in the following scenarios which I can replicate:
- Browser must be Chrome and not using profiles
- Only applies to the root site, or if you create a non-Microsoft 365 group site- KonstantinK1010Copper ContributorSadly this happens with Edge and Profiles too.
I edit the Hub Links with my Admin Profile, but when i switch back to my User, no Change can be found.
For the Admin the changes stay.
- stephen2085Copper ContributorSame issue for me. Confirm that clearing temporary internet files does resolve it, but this is unpractical for rolling out to all users.
- LucidBike1140Iron ContributorI just ran into this. Very frustrating as users can't see a new site that's been rolled out. I really don't want to have our entire organization have to clear their sessions and cookies for this change. Anyone know of a better solution?

Microsoft just ran some generic "diagnostic" scripts, which didn't help. I had made the changes on a Thursday night, and by Monday everyone could see them.
I had a few users only clear their "cookies and other site data" (Chrome) from just the last hour and that seemed to work, though I wasn't going to have the entire company do that.
In the meantime, I used this https://www.m365-dev.com/2020/04/29/no-code-modern-sharepoint-site-redirect/, using the News web part. Basically, you create a news web part somewhere on the old site, with a news link to the new site. Then set that news link as the homepage for the old site. As soon as someone hits the old site, they're immediately redirected to the new. (This, of course, only works for the home page.)

Hi Alireza Rahimifarid I'm running into the exact same issue but the solution from above doesn't work for me because I am not using another language. Any other troubleshooting tips?

we have the same problem with SharePoint Online hub menu, it doesn't update for any users sessions except admin session who made the change. Only if users manually delete browsers cookies and site data, they can see the change. It seems like bug on SharePoint Online hub menu, because normally it should update only with page refresh for any user?
Do we have any SharePoint Online representatives here to explain the issue and give us any solution?

Alireza Rahimifarid I found out what the issue was. I was using another language in my browser, so all the updates could only be seen by those using the same language. I didn't know that.
