Markdown document editor/storage/view online view?

Note that SharePoint online already has very limited support for markdown files in document libraries. They are viewed online as an embedded iframe which leaves it up to the browser to format them - it is pretty naff. It also only supports a smallish subset of the kind of extended Markdown that people now expect (e.g. GitHub flavoured would be a much better selection).
