InfoPath with custom code vs PowerApps vs SPFx
Hi
We have bunch of On-premise SP 2010 InfoPath forms which were coded for accessing a few SOAP web services deployed on-premise servers and also some external web services. What is the best approach to migrate them to SP Online?
If we rebuild these these Forms as Power Apps will be able to use the web services? or we must develop these as SPFx components accessing data gateways?
Thanks
Thanuja

- Dean_GrossSilver Contributorthe choice of components or PowerApps will depend on what the forms did but you can use a data gateway with PowerApps to get to the old web services, see https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/brand-new-custom-api-experience-in-powerapps/ to get started

Dean Gross - I think I have unnecessary led you on with my secondary questions gave the idea that options are PowerApps or SPFx components instead asking for migration feasibility and remidition (though the information you posted is helpful and appreciate that).
I am rephrasing the question with scenarios in a new trail. Appreciate a response.
- Totally agree with Dean here...indeed I would say the selection of one approach or another should be based on how you envision this forms would evolve and who should be able to update them...Updating SPFx means you depend always on having a SharePoint Developer in house
The only thing to be careful of is, there are new licensing changes for PowerApps. You will need to pay for additional licensing to access the on-premise web services via a Gateway or Custom Connectors.
