Import XML to SharePoint

Has anyone used exported XML and imported it to SharePoint. The case here is we are migrating data from Confluence to SharePoint for our Intranet and have a lot of documents/instructions etc. in Confluence. 

XML import could be a lot quicker vs. uploading files separately.
