How can I create a Site Directory?
Long and far away (SharePoint 2010) there was an option to create site directory for a particular site collection. I know you can create one using Content Search Webpart, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a clean way to provide such a directory that can auto populate etc. I haven't found any better way to do this that can be out-of-the-box with little to no customization. Any assistance is much appreciated.

Hi Aria,
Could you not pin them as favourites so that they show in the main SharePoint dashboard page, they will show as sites you are following ?
At least the sites that are relevant to the users will all be in one place.

Brad
- SharePoint Online does that by default now. Are you using on-prem or Online?

Loryan,
That's great news, where and how?
We are using SharePoint Online.
Thanks

- AFAIK, Site Directory feature was not ported by Microsoft to SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online so you have to build it by yourself...using search, as you have said, it's the most advisable option
