Document Library Files Disappear/Timeout after ~10 Seconds
Hello,
I'm the owner of a couple of SharePoint team sites and we are running into some strange issues. The team site has a document library with folders and files and often times you will be looking at a list of files within a folder and the files will just disappear from the screen entirely but the rest of the page remains the same. Upon refreshing, the files reappear like normal. Sometimes these doc library files disappear after opening one of them in a new tab.
This same issue has been happening with folks in our organization across the globe and I have heard reports of it occurring across multiple sites in which I'm the owner of. Security Permissions are not the issue as the library/folders/files are opened for Read access to the "Everyone except external users" group. I haven't found any documentation through searching the internet of this issue occurring with other SharePoint customers. It is a very frustrating behavior and I can't imagine it is just a clear cache/cookies type of fix.
Can anyone please help with this and/or provide some guidance if you've experienced the same?

- I wonder if Microsoft is playing around with or adding in some of the "Realtime" list/library changes they were talking about at Ignite and it's causing issues. Are you on targeted release? I don't think they are deploying that yet, but that would make sense if that was the case.
- Please have look at the permission inheritance of your document library or the site . it could be because of the broken permission inheritance. Let me know.
- No it's not a permissions issue because it is inherited from site to library to folder to file etc.. Inheritance isn't broken and folks can see the files initially, but they just disappear after a short period of time. They then reappear upon refreshing so it's not an access issue.
- Interesting ... How many views do you have it in the document library ? is there any custom view .. can you set the default view and try the behavior , Also can you get the audit log for this ?
