Different news webpart content on 1 site collection
Hello,
My situation:
1 Communication Site
2 page for sub departments
I want to use difference news webpart content on:
- communication root site
- page 1
- page 2
If I use the news webpart I get the same news articles on all 3 locations.
Any suggestions / solutions for this ?

Create 3 Team Sites
Define one of these as a Hub Site (for your Main Navigation)
Associate your other two Team Sites (Sub Departments) with your Hub Site (Department) from the Site Information PanelThe Navigation from your Department Site will automatically also on your other two Sub Department Sites.
Change the to the sites and choose the News Content in the News Webparts as you want.

- I'd recommend to have site collections for different entities, however to accomplish what you want with your scenario, you can make use of metadata on your pages and filter by that. So Create a choice column in your Site Pages Library called Department or category or whatever you wanted to define the difference. Then You would have to add your options available such as Home, Dept1, Dept2. as choices.
When you create your news pages, you can click on "Page Details" at the top bar of the page, and you will have the choice field available on the right pane to set for what type of News it is.
Then when you add your news webparts to the pages. Edit the news webpart and then choose under your filter section > Page properties. Choose your column you added to the sites pages library. And Save. Now you have a filtered News Webpart based on that page property you set when you create the news. Hi Marcel,
open the News Panel in edit Modus and select your sites:
Do you use your Communication Site as a Hub Site? In Standard News WebPart choose all Sites in the Hub.

My idea is to use 1 site collection with 2 extra pages
May wrong Architecture? Every Teamsite or Communication Site is a Site Collection. The News an this Sites are Pages..
Option 1:
You create a Communication Site (Department) and two Team Sites (Sub Departments)
Create News WebPart and select the sites where you want to get News from.
Option 2:
You use 1 site collection with 2 extra pages. Insert the Highlighted Content WebPart choose the Content and add a filter for the pages.
But in my opinion is better to use Option 1. Also in from permission perspective.
