copy workflow status to newly added column- sharepoint online

Hi,

I have sharepoint 2010 site which I have migrated on sharepoint online.

approver workflow 2010 also migrated to sharepoint online.

I have created new column in my library.

I would like to copy the workflow status (OOTB Approval 2010 workflow) to a newly created column. The reason is because a timer job deletes workflow history after 60 days and we need to see the workflow status as a permanent record.

how I can do this in sharepoint online
