can i chose to sync a single folder inside a sharepoint online document library using OneDrive for B
I am working on a communication modern site collection, and i open my OneDrive for Business desktop application, and i enter the url for a single folder, such as http://ourtenant.sharepoint/sites/comm123/shared documents/folder1/
but after the sync has been completed i have noted that the whole document library got sync and not just the specified folder.
so is there a way to have my sync inside OnerDrive for Business done for a single folder only, or it has to be done on the library level itself?

and as chris mentioned that this tool does not support selective folder sync and that i need to use OneDrive instead?? is this correct?
- Thuyavan GanesanIron ContributorIf you are using OneDrive for Business and you are continue to use it then... this is the solution ...
It is called Selective Folder Sync and it is not out of the box functionality using One Drive for Business.
There are some work around for this please refer the below article and let me known if you have any questions

if you want to use OneDrive you need to download and install from here ..

using oneDrive you will be able to sync one folder as mentioned in the screenshot and Chris.
Hope this helps

- Assuming your Using OneDrive and not the old OneDrive for Business client right?
You should be able to go to the folder via the URL itself directly, not in the application, then use the "Sync" button on the modern toolbar on the site and it should only sync that particular folder.- john johnIron Contributor
