Can external users be added to SharePoint groups?

Is there a way to add an external user, which was not added as a guest to AAD, to a local SharePoint Online group?

Currently no, any external user you want to add to SharePoint Online must be a guest in Azure AD

I believe note&nbsp;But&nbsp;I am think&nbsp; that you can automatically add them to a group in SharePoint if your external sharing settings allows you add guest, however this will automatically create them in AD as guest.roniy&nbsp;
