Benefits of having a hybrid SharePoint between (SharePoint online & SharePoint onpremises)

johnjohn-Peter my approach would be to do it all in SharePoint Online. I don't know why anyone would go through the grief of building & maintaining an on-premise system these days.

Rob_ElliottMaybe in the future some sites/departments will have certain compliance requirements to have their documents onpremsies only. so what i am saying is that we can start with online, then we can expend it to be a hybrid solution? am i correct? i mean we do not have to start as hybrid from now?
