Adding library information to document template, is it possible?
Hi,
I am working in a request that involve library template and library columns.
The request is create a template that show the name of the user that created the document and when.
I have look different approachs but nothing works.
Right now I have a custom template with nothing but standard information: Header, logo, a footer showing who created the word template and when.
Now I need to add who created the document in sharepoint and when. In the Quick parts of the template I can't find the columns I need from the document library.

Has anyone created this kind of word templates that can give me a hand with it?

Have you considered using a Content Type which wraps your custom template in an object which can also include custom columns etc ?
