Adding library information to document template, is it possible?

Hi again!

Yes, I tried that approach. I am available to add the custom field in the template but it shows as a placeholder when I print the document. The idea is that the placeholder gets replaced automatically with the date when the document was created. Right now I have to manually select the date. 

This is the content type settings right now with the two columns added to it:
