Unable to pass employment verification, and now the process has been ended!
Hello,
I've been trying to get past the "employment verification" step for almost a month now. In the "fix now" menu, I was asked to provide the domain registration receipt, which I've submitted multiple times. I opened a ticket and was advised to change my email address to something non-generic, which I did. However, I haven't received any further updates. I've followed up multiple times, only to receive the same automated response: "We're looking into your issue and will provide an update." Today, I received an email stating that after several unsuccessful attempts to verify my information, the verification process has been terminated. This is very frustrating, as all my information is legit, and there seems to be no reason my profile shouldn't be approved.
Please assist, as opening tickets doesn't seem to move the process forward at all.
Thank you!
- Closing the loop on this issue. I've decided to submit another support ticket, and I have to say that the experience was much better this time. I received an email the same day requesting specific additional documentation, which I quickly provided. While I’m still waiting on approval for a Partner account (the ball is in my court), I was approved for a Developer account pretty quickly after submitting the extra documents. The key for me was providing a receipt for the domain that included my company’s name. Hope this helps anyone going through a similar process!

EtienneD2240 I am having the same issues. There is no communication or explanation of what's gone wrong and it's been dragging on for two months.

EtienneD2240 I would submit another support ticket or you can try deleting your entire account and starting over. I've heard other partners have success with that.
- admindanielCopper ContributorThat is a rubbish solution ... Why doesn't Microsoft identify the failing partnership submissions and follow up with an email!
- YesleeCopper ContributorHi Jill,
Do you know how to delet the account? - EtienneD2240Copper ContributorHi Jill,
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your suggestions, but they don't entirely make sense to me. For example, I'm not sure why I would need to delete and re-create my account when I've already provided everything requested so far.
A couple of days after my original post, I finally received an email in response to the ticket I submitted, asking for additional paperwork. I provided the requested documents right away, and I've been waiting for a resolution since then. Just yesterday, I received another email saying, "we're looking into your issue and will get back to you once we have an update."
Please don't close this thread yet—I will update the status of the approval process as soon as I hear back from the support team.- JillArmourMicrosoft
