Unable to pass employment verification, and now the process has been ended!

Closing the loop on this issue. I've decided to submit another support ticket, and I have to say that the experience was much better this time. I received an email the same day requesting specific additional documentation, which I quickly provided. While I’m still waiting on approval for a Partner account (the ball is in my court), I was approved for a Developer account pretty quickly after submitting the extra documents. The key for me was providing a receipt for the domain that included my company’s name. Hope this helps anyone going through a similar process!
