Microsoft Partner Center - Verification Consistently Stuck

It's impossible to complete the verification for Partner Center Profile.

My verification status has been stuck in Pending with no movement for several weeks.

In addition, when I go to the vetting page, I just have a status of "Business Verification" with the Verification Status "In Progress".  There's no information or documentation around what is stuck and why.

When I attempted to submit a support ticket, I get a support ticket number #2608270040003354 and an email that says my issue is in pending with no more details.

Rejection would almost be preferable even as it would allow me to submit whatever appropriate documentation might be needed.  Is this process meant to be stuck for that long?
