You’ve tried to sign in too many attempts with incorrect password or account .

For 3 weeks now every time I try to sign in I get that message but account and password is correct, I have reached out to chat support every day for a fix have even done all trouble shooting steps multiple times a week.

I recently got told that it is a known issue with the server and it is at Microsoft ends but there is no time line to fix it. It’s know become a joke that I’ve been locked out for 3 weeks with no help .

Wow, that is very frustrating after 3 weeks. If the Microsoft support stated it is a known server-side issue, then there might not be a lot you could do in the local system. You may be able to access through the Outlook Web or through another computer/browser, hopefully it would be resolved by Microsoft.

I can sign in using my password before it sends a code to recovery email . It's been 3 weeks and I get even get in if they just fix the problem then i could create a alias to sign in instead   but Microsoft aren't moving very fast to fix the problem

  • Have you enabled any other sign-in methods aside from a password? For instance, linked it to your Windows login via Windows ID, an authenticator app (which you can also use for Multi-Factor Authentication), etc...?

If not, it may not help you directly in this case, but once you have regained access, it is highly recommended to configure alternative methods to logon for your account aside from a password.
