Hi! I have an issue that sounds similiar to yours, started about 2 weeks ago - on my laptop my password doesnt'work, and even tho i can connect to my accoutn on other computers, I can never receive the MFA verification codes for some reason. Is it the same as your issue ? And did they really confirmed it was coming from their side?

Yes after nearly a week of talking to them on support chat I finally got told it was a known issue with the server. Even had Microsoft support on x confirm it in my dms that it is definitely coming from their end with no timeline for it to be fixed. A little different to yours
