Outlook Classic Crashes
hi Shabin, how did you get the OST to 100 gigs? Outlook Classic only has a limit of 50 gigs, so look at it this way, the server mailbox can have 100+ but Outlook can only really safely view 49 gigs before it expands and most likely will lose functionality in time. When you first setup a new Exchange account in Outlook Classic the default is one year. You can view "all" but if the server has more than 50 gigs, you can turn on in-place archive, then you can view "online" mode more email.
I highly recommend a new profile and download 1 year of data, leave the rest to search. That will give you a better Outlook experience and Outlook should not crash so often.

Hi Lisa, The user has already in-place archive, now i have to create a new profile and it should be 50GB by default right?
Thanks

I would only set the download to be a year, this will keep the Outlook profile running more clean. Easier to set up too! Then everything on the server is searchable and in-place archive will show up at the bottom.
