Organizing email account folders on PC
Since updating to the new Outlook, I am not able (on my PC or Mac) to drag and drop account folders to arrange them in a priority fashion. I have downloaded the classic version again, but the new version opens up anyway. I have tried on the app AND using a browser. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
I don't know if I am just not doing something correctly, or if that function is not available, except on my mobile devices.

Hi Crowebar, here are a few answers, hope these help.
Since updating to the new Outlook, I am not able (on my PC or Mac) to drag and drop account folders to arrange them in a priority fashion.
---This might be an issue with your email host. I would call or put in a ticket to have your mailbox reviewed, it might need a "refresh" or a "remapping". IMAP mailboxes can have this issue and since you are seeing it on a PC and Mac, that means it's not Outlook.
I have downloaded the classic version again, but the new version opens up anyway.
---This might be confusion with the apps on the desktop. Can you open your search for Windows and type in "Outlook" and you should see both version in the list. Click on Classic (and pin to the task bar), then if New Outlook opens, you have a tech issue, not easily solvable here but we could work on it.
--New Outlook really can't be shut off, but you can change the default apps. Go to your search again, type in "default apps" and on the left pane, click on "apps" and then click on "default apps" again, and you see in the list "Outlook" and "New Outlook". Be sure Outlook Classic is selected for all Outlook types (common are .ics and .msg) and then all Outlook type files should open in Outlook Classic.
I have tried on the app AND using a browser. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
---Since your folders won't move and aren't able to be organized, I do believe this is a mailbox issues. Browser is a key indicator of a problem.
I don't know if I am just not doing something correctly, or if that function is not available, except on my mobile devices.
---Let us knowk what your email host says about the mailbox issue, then if nothing is wrong, we can move on to another solution.
