New Outlook Editor uses wrong language for Spell Check
I'm using the new Outlook (Version 1.2024.403.300; Client Version 20240405002.10) on Windows 11. English (US) is the default language installed on my system and used by all other Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, etc).
However, after sending one email in French last week, now the Microsoft Editor in Outlook will only spell check in French on all new messages.
I can add English to the Editor under "Multiple Languages", but after restarting Outlook it sometimes reverts back to French as the only language listed.

dpruth It's not just (new) Outlook for me, I experience this problem in web browser texts as well (comments in forums etc.). I keep having to add (NL in my case) back as second language. On my Dutch machine at home I keep having to add EN as second language.

Me and some of my colleagues had this issue too. But since a few days it seems to be working as expected!? Was there any update I missed? Is it working for other users too?

Steffen0815 Indeed, it now also works for me. Even mixing two languages in one email will show the expected spelling corrections for each language.
Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.925.200 (Production).
Client Version is 20240920004.12.

This happens to me, sometimes multiple times a day, in both Web on full client. For me, it's German.
- plggbCopper ContributorHi, we have exactly the same problem with our tenant's Outlook New.
Adding Italian (removing or not English makes no diference) as editor primary language, it is reverted to default "only English" at next start. - Konstantin-DCopper ContributorSame issue here with RU and EN.
Very annoying. - SvenCMCopper Contributor

I have the same problem. It is very frustrating. Sometimes 2-3 days is OK but sometimes a few times per day change language spell check from Slovak to Czech. Typical Microsoft from last years. Microsoft releases an alpha version and tweaks it as it goes.
