iCloud for Windows Contacts sync issue with Outlook Classic (Part of M365 package)
I have lost count the amount of times I see iCloud Sync issues cropping up with Outlook Classic (M365) but they never exactly describe the issue I am having.
After uninstalling Outlook, iCloud for Windows, re-installing and enabled / disable the AddIn/ re-enable it for iCloud I've run into a brick wall I think
So iCloud for Windows partly integrates with Outlook Classic - but I have an issue where the correct Sync'd contacts are appearing in the Contacts tab of Outlook and I enable that as an Address book by ticking the box in Properties.
I give it a specific name
Then open the main Home page of Outlook and start to create a test mail.
If I open the Address Button on the main ribbon I can see the Contacts list name for iCloud and open it.
Problem is it is not the correct list.
It looks like a very old iCloud Contacts List - but where on earth is Outlook getting this old list from ?.
The list is the same name as that one I just gave it under Outlook Contacts management page, but I can never get the correct sync'd iCloud contacts list to appear using the Address Button.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where this old iCloud contact list is being stored within Outlook Classic ?.
If I remove iCloud for Windows it is still there under the Address Ribbon button.
Any help here welcomed !

I have replied twice on this thread but the replies have disappeared, what is going on ?.

I completely removed all traces of iCloud from my PC and ensured that the iCloud Contacts were removed from the Address book as above.
No contacts at all showed up in address book tab after that.
The iCloud Plug in was deleted too from Add Ins.
The only Apple files in Users>Username>AppData>Local>Packages were associated with Apple Music App and iTunes on my PC. The iCloud files had gone after uninstalling.
Also removed the AddOn Plug in From Outlook
Once all uninstalled I downloaded fresh iCloud for Windows and re-installed. This all appeared to go OK. Then Checked iCloud Contacts were there in Contact Tab in Outlook. All correct.
Made this into an address book by >Properties> enabled tick box.
Back to Home Tab in Outlook then selected Address Book. iCloud Contacts there but the list is the old stale list again !!!. Its not the current one.
Where is Outlook getting this from?. I'm just going around in circles here.
Any more help on this welcomed.
btw - thank you for note on New Outlook but I don't want to use this as it is just a web interface and you can't import Outlook .pst data files into it as far as I know.

btw - thank you for note on New Outlook but I don't want to use this as it is just a web interface and you can't import Outlook .pst data files into it as far as I know. Why would Microsoft design a package like that?.
Anyway - I need some inspiration to find out where the old list is coming from.
It could be a hidden folder.
Select it in the Address Book, then right click on the dropdown list and choose Properties. You should see its location now.
You can make it visible again with MFCMAPI.

File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings...-> Address Books-> double click ont the Outlook Address Book serviceWhen it comes to the iCloud Contacts folder: Don't rename it. To re-establish the sync with Outlook, sign out via the iCloud app, sign back in and then re-enable the sync.
FWIW: New Outlook has native support for iCloud accounts and doesn't depend on the add-in from Apple.

I have now spent ages on this and removed every trace of iCloud from my PC and deleted the iCloud Contacts in the Address Book as above.
I am still seeing an old list in the Address Book on the Home Page.
The list in my Outlook Classic 'Contacts Tab' is correct.
This is driving me nuts as I cannot find out where Outlook Classic is getting this old Contacts list from to populate the Address Book.
It says it is the file I have just imported from iCloud but it is not the same contacts list?. How can that happen?
There are no contacts in my Outlook.pst data file.
If iCloud has been totally removed where on earth is Outlook getting this list from? Are there specific Cache locations somewhere?
When I removed iCloud integration there were no contacts at all under the Address Book list.
Do you have any other further suggestions ?.
Thanks for suggestion on New Outlook but I don't want to use that as it is just a web interface. If no Internet then it doesn't work and you can't import .pst files locally which is essential for me.
I wish Microsoft would fix this iCloud integration issue on Classic Outlook it has been a pain for years.
