How do I suppress iOS outlook notification for messages previously read on Outlook (Windows Desktop)

Our company uses Office 365. When I'm at my desk, I'll be going through my emails via Outlook on my laptop. A couple hours later, I'll reach for my iPhone and it's flooded with notifications on the lockscreen. 

If I previously have marked messages read on the laptop, is there a way the iOS Outlook app can suppress or recall the notification?
