Onedrive not syncing to file explorer (Windows11)
Hi team, I've recently come across an issue with my one drive suddenly not syncing to my file explorer. I have lost access to viewing my shared documents in file explorer. I can only access my shared files via them default opening in a webpage and not the local file explorer like they used to.
I do not have access to change the default program via the "open with" option as I have seen could work - the only option I have is "open" which then opens the webpage.
Can anyone help advise how to work around this and regain access to my shared files in file explorer please?
Thanks.

They fixed it! I'm now able to access all of my files and am creating a backup not relying on Msoft in future. they didn't contact me but I kept pestering them and checking to see if it was fixed and suddenly it was working.

I found that running these steps help in restoring the Onedrive context menu, it might also help with your case.
- open CMD as administator
- CD to %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive
- CD to the onddrive version
- run OneDriveSetup.exe /allusers

OneDriveSetup.exe /allusers does NOT fix the OneDrive issue of Shared Folders not Syncing, but Shared Folders only being available via an URL!

Here to say that it's happening in Windows 10 also, all of the folders I've shared with my wife have disappeared from her OneDrive folder in Explorer, but she can see them in her shared area from the OneDrive website. In case a Win 10 user ends up here also as I did. I've heard the recent update is forcing some Win11 functionality into Win10 so maybe this bug was one of the gifts that came along with all that.
