(I'm using education version)Whenever I create or edit a chapter in Stream, it automaticly creates a new version for me in onedrive, the problem is, it actually duplicates the file, for example, if the video size is 1GB and I edited the chapter 50 times, then there would be 50 versions of this video file, and the file size would be 50GB, this issue is really bothering me, it basically takes up all 1TB of my storage, someone help plz.Solved6.1KViews1like4CommentsBest practice using same OneDrive Personal Vault on 2 PCs
Finally configured Personal Vault (should have done this long ago) in our Family OneDrive. When I unlock it, I use a PIN on my Win 11 pc to authenticate. When I login to the same Personal Vault on another PC, a request goes out to the Microsoft Authenticator on my iPhone. I would love to just let that PC use a PIN to login and not sent a authentication prompt to the Authenticator app. Is there a way to do this?74Views0likes1CommentOneDrive Context Menu Missing on Windows 11
OneDrive Context menu missing Hi guys, I’m having some issues regarding OneDrive and it’s Context Menu not being present on files. Environment: Windows 11 23H2, Intune managed OneDrive Build: 25.005.0112.30003 (64-bit) Affected users: all I tried all the fixes I could find on the Internet, but none have helped. Devices don’t have issues with synchronization, they only have an issue with the Context Menu missing. I can only see Always Keep on this Device and Free Up Space. Even if I press Show More Options, only the same only two previously mentioned appear. Is there anything else which I could have missed? Intune policies – no one seems to control such a thing, the context menu. Is there really not a known fix for this issue? 1. UAC control - ⦁ https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-change-the-user-account-control-policies-to-allow-onedrive-context-menus-1f957672-848d-48bb-bfe8-5af828613211 In my case, both explorer and onedrive are with No, at the Elevated status According to the above article, the following Local Security policies are in place: 2. Check if the shell extension is blocked https://www.elevenforum.com/t/add-or-remove-move-to-onedrive-context-menu-in-windows-11.26916/ The Key Blocked did not even exist on the device. I’ve went and added it manually, for both current user and all users, nothing has changed. 3. Fresh install of OneDrive, downloaded from ⦁ https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/download – no luck 4. Reinstalling OneDrive with /allusers parameter – no luck. Had a look through HKRoot\* - nothing I did made a difference. I can see that other users are complaining of this issue to this day - Windows 11 File Explorer context menu missing View Online and Version - Microsoft Community Options OneDrive not visible in File Explorers context menu - Microsoft CommunitySolved10KViews7likes14CommentsOneDrive for Android: Camera Backup keeps uploading screenshots
Hi all, Every so often when I check OneDrive, I see my Android phone has uploaded screenshots as well as camera photos. In the Android app, when I check the Camera Backup setting, the "Back up device folders" has the setting "Camera, Screenshots" However, when I click that value, and go into the "Organise new backups in subfolders" list, the Screenshots folder is _not_ actually selected as one to be uploaded. If I turn the folder on, then off, OneDrive will temporarily not upload images from my Screenshot folder. But eventually, it decide that again it should do this. How do I make this behaviour stop permanently? P.1.3KViews2likes7CommentsChanging to Always Keep... changes all folders
Within a folder on OneDrive, there are other folders and files. I want to have some just on the cloud, and always keep some on my computer. When I click on Always Keep On This Computer, all the other folders at that folder level also change to Always Keep On This Computer. I'm not talking about the contents of the folder (which I'd expect to change), I'm talking about the folders at the same level as the one I change. Also, I have a couple of folders and files that show the white checked status icon in windows explorer (as opposed to the solid green one). The right click list shows a check on those for Always Keep on this computer. Why don't they have the solid green status icon? They don't even change in the situation described above.158Views2likes3CommentsWindows OneDrive folder and file properties
Hello I use Windows 10. All the files in the OneDrive folder has the green checkmark. 1. Are the files with the green checkmark both in a local OneDrive folder and in the OneDrive online cloud? 2. If I "Unlink this PC" - what happens to all the files with the green checkmark? They are kept in the OneDrive online cloud? They are deleted from the local OneDrive folder? 3. If I download a file from OneDrive online browser then the files "Modified" date is being updated - bad. If I copy a file from the OneDrive folder in Windows to another local folder, then the "Modified" date is unchaged - good. I have only tried this on the same computer. But what if there is 2 computers: Computer 1 copy file A to the Windows OneDrive folder. Computer 2 (another computer) copies file A from Windows OneDrive folder to another local folder - is the "Modified" date unchanged or updated? I know the "Created" and "Accessed" dates are being updated / new when copying file A. Thank you191Views0likes5CommentsLooking for a cloud storage solution
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive cloud storage platform that will allow me to create/access/sync files from multiple computers? I've been using Dropbox, which is great, but it is $12 per month on top of my 365 Personal account costs. Thanks!108Views1like2CommentsOneDrive for Business sync issues.

I have a Windows 11 on a laptop and have been using Onedrive for a long time. This problem happens when the PC is started. Suddenly the program stops after showing up in the taskbar. It goes through signing in and then quits running. For a while a window kept popping up suggesting an update to PowerDrive. That's when Onedrive stops. I uninstalled the PowerDrive program, but Onedrive stills stops. When following the suggestions on the Microsoft page for resetting Onedrive the message that it cannot find Onedrive shows up. Yet Onedrive presumably has been installed in the correct location. I have uninstalled and re-installed Onedrive. Also, re-installed Windows, and the Microsoft 365 family. Each time Onedrive shows up and then stops running. I can start Onedrive, the folder opens, the icons shows up. But a few seconds later the icon is gone. Ideas?55Views0likes1CommentUnable to access Onedrive through manager
Attempt to login to one drive through manager and stuck on this before a screen white out. from dev tools Walked through this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/reset-onedrive-34701e00-bf7b-42db-b960-84905399050c and it did not help. Stuck doing the same loading error out in manager. Also attempted to reset onedrive directory. Same issue. When attempting to open or move files in the onedrive directory I get: Error 0x8007016A: The cloud file provider is not running Unsure if stuck in sync or what. This is day two of this occurring even after comp reset. Never ran into this issue before. Unable to find any indication of Microsoft onedrive being down either so this error is a bit confusing to me. Thanks for the help in advance!143Views1like2Comments
