Lost Recent Version of File From OneDrive
I made steady progress on my maths investigation and at one point I spent 3 hours working on it. I've revisited the file a few days later to find ALL the changes made in the second 2 hours completely...
Check OneDrive Version History (Web)
Go beyond Office versioning:
Visit https://onedrive.live.com
Look in Temporary Files
If the document was ever autosaved locally, you may find it here:
- Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac)
- Paste this in the address bar:
Windows:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles
Mac:
~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/Library/Preferences/AutoRecovery
Use File Recovery Tools (Low Chance, but Worth a Try)
Additional: Enable OneDrive backup notifications (in OneDrive settings) to get alerts when syncing stops working.
