Help with OneDrive Sync

Hi,

 

I am attempting to restore a feature in MacOS that I previously had. Previously, whenever I would sync my files from Sharepoint's web browser, my files would all fall under one sidebar tab in Finder called 'OneDrive - Shared Libraries - Work'

 

Now, whenever I save a file by sync-ing it from Sharepoint web browser, same as before, the channel the file is under pops up in the sidebar, like as an entire new OneDrive library.

 

What I want: I want my files to fall under one shared library. Not individual sidebar channels in Finder. I want them nested like before.

 

How do I restore this function in MacOS. I've tried reseting my OnDrive, clearing my cache, deleting the files in library cloud storage. This has happened before and the only think that worked last time was doing a full factory reset on my macbook. I want to avoid that if possible.

    I made a post asking the same thing a few days ago and have yet to get a response. Unsure if this is a oneDrive change or a MacOS change. I can not find any release notes regarding this shadow update

    This sounds like a change in how Finder presents the synced libraries, rather than a sync failure. SharePoint’s Sync button connects individual libraries; it doesn’t merge them into one. Another factory reset is unlikely to be a lasting fix.

    For a single nested location, Add shortcut to OneDrive may fit better:

    1. First confirm your files have finished uploading.
    2. In OneDrive’s settings, stop syncing the library you want to switch.
    3. Open its document library in SharePoint and choose Add shortcut to OneDrive, if available.
    4. It should then appear inside your work OneDrive folder in Finder.

    Test with one library first. Don’t use Sync and a OneDrive shortcut for the same content simultaneously.

    This gives you a consolidated location, but doesn’t restore the exact old “Shared Libraries” sidebar layout. If the extra entries are simply Finder favourites, you can remove those sidebar shortcuts without deleting the files. Avoid deleting anything else from Library/CloudStorage while troubleshooting.
