Why is my teams recording at such a low resolution?
Hi Everyone,
I have been doing a few web demonstrations at work and use teams as our main way to connect with customers over video. Last week, I did a web meeting and recorded the session, and the bit rate was 958 kbps - making it very easy to watch. Today I did another web meeting and recorded the session, but the recording only has a bit rate of 1 mbps. This is very difficult to watch because everything is so blurry. During the meeting everything was perfectly clear. I haven't changed any settings in my computer or on my teams account - why did this happen? Can I fix the resolution of an already recorded meeting? Thank you so much for your help!

- Ed WoodrickIron Contributor958 kbps vs 1000 kbps (aka 1 mbps) is a miniscule difference

Ed Woodrick oh wow thanks for clarifying! Do you have any ideas as to why the video now would be such low quality compared to the one taken last week?

Hi saramarshall We've seen comments like this one in the past and the troubleshooting suggestions posted in our Answers.microsoft.com tech support site include:
1. Record meetings using Teams Web App and then check whether the quality is increased
2. Let another participant record the meeting to see the result.
3. Switch to another network connection like different Wi-Fi and try again.
Does anyone else in the community have a response to help Sara?
- saramarshallCopper ContributorHi Therese,
We have tried all of your suggestions. The quality of the video is still poor - it seems that the frame rate is only coming through on the recordings at 15 frames per second. Is there any way to increase this?
