Want links from MS Teams to open in MS Teams, not SP
I have multiple channels with uploaded documents to share with my team. When I copy a link from a document housed/used in MS Teams, the link only opens in Sharepoint. The link clearly shows a SP web address, even as I copy it from the Teams folder.
How do I change this or force access to these documents from MS Teams instead of a SP link?
- Such a horrible decision from MS. It just confuses everyone. Teams is supposed to be the one-stop-shop for everything but yet we now push people to Sharepoint which just leads to mass confusion.
- Hello, the SP web address is the expected behavior as SharePoint is the underlying service that manages the file sharing process in Teams. But still you can choose the default Teams app in which the files is opened with. I tried to reproduce your experience but all my "Copy file" end up opening the shared link in the Teams apps.
