Volume fircibly adjusted on each call start

these are the steps i took today and it seems to work and the setting stayed thru a couple teams calls so far. when i got to the headset properties box it was set on 100!!!! omg how stupid. i'm using knockoff airpods. these steps didn't work for my coworker who had a headset with a mic. her problem is she can't hear anything.
I work at a fairly small company (just over 50 people) and this is a known issue for several of our employees. I'm shocked that fixing an bug that's potentially causing hearing damage to thousands of people (likely way more if my small sample size is representative) is somehow not the absolute number one item on the agenda. I don't know what could possibly be a higher priority issue then when your software is ACTIVELY HARMING PEOPLE.
This issue is still present as of december 2022.
Joining a teams meeting will set the whole windows volume to 50% (in my case, this is too low, everything is 100% and i control the volume with my extrenal sound card, i fear for people who do the opposite, ears are fragile)
Not only that, playing with the volume slider when joining a team changes the literal "overall" windows volume.
This is terrible.
