Volume fircibly adjusted on each call start
I'm having the same issue as of 2020-08-05, none of the Microsoft forum suggestions relating to this topic have worked. I'm submitting a ticket, but Microsoft really needs to get on this. target-san

I was able to resolve the issue. I changed some settings and I'm not sure which one actually solved the problem.
Sound Control Panel - there are 2 devices for the Bose headset. While connected, change the default device and try each one. This configuration is working for me, when connecting to a meeting the speaker level is where I left it, not max'd out. (This also solved the problem of distorted music)

The trouble is I have two different devices, a headset with a mic, and a nice pair of headphones for everything else. I have the nice pair set as default device, with the mic set as default communication device. The "App Volume and Device Preferences" advanced settings in the windows sound settings panel has volume adjustments for Teams when it's open. If I adjust it to a reasonable level, it will just auto adjust back to 100 every time a new call starts. I've turned off all audio adjustments, but I'm pretty sure this is a windows issue not setting child windows of Teams to the same volume and putting the default new window at 100 volume (Perhaps only for the default communication device).
