Video Layout- show all participants
- Mar 19, 2020
Hi,
Normally you should see 4 video streams, but currently there is high impact on Teams services due to high usage so I guess this is causing this problem for you. I've seen this problem more in the Teams web application than the desktop, so if you are using Teams web app try to download the desktop client. https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads
Just to be sure make sure that you haven't pinned a video stream, right click on the video and see if you can select unpin.

LinusCansby lol I'd just like to congratulate everyone for participating in the shared delusion that Microsoft is capable of doing anything like this well. M for Teams is about as useful as any other program or interface M creates - a clunky, unintuitive, overwrought imitation of what other more nimble and well run companies are doing light years better. What a joke.
- SladanNov 04, 2020Copper ContributorCouldn't say it better. Just had a meeting with my students and I don't see them all. BigBlueButton does it automatically, Zoom has it easy accessible. And then comes Microsoft Teams and makes it a rocket science to search, find and use.

Hey linus, I've read multiple of your answers saying you roll out 9x9 (should have already happened)
In the meantime: is there a way to check which user has his webcam enabled?
My case:
Class with 20 people. I can see the participants video when I pin his video. But I can't see who has it enabled. Our lecturer wants to see a face so he's not talking to a black screen. Only way so far is pinning someone and wait if there is a video. I need some sort of indicator who to pin without going trial and error. Do you have a way for that?

davkarh In general no, there isn't an indication who is sharing video or not, however when the 9 video layout is released this will prioritise people who are sharing video, people without video will just be listed across the bottom of the screen.

LinusCansby if there are more than 4 people on the call, is there a way to show everyone? I can see all of the participants on the call, just not their faces if they have their cameras on.

Agallace No, not currently. An update that allows nine video streams will come.

- SusanMcClementsMar 19, 2020Iron ContributorI read a post online that due to the high demand for the service it was recommended that you only use video if you are speaking.
