Video empedded in to PowerPoint presentation takes a long time to load
Hi,
when using the quite new feature to upload PowerPoint presentation to Teams, the videos (bigger/longer) takes too much time to load during the presentation.
I have tried to compress media in PowerPoint reducing the size of the file from 400mb to 87mb. Still the video takes about 20-25 seconds to start.
If starting the same presentation on local machine the video starts immediately.
So, is there anything I can do or is it just the Teams and how it is made to handle these things?
This seems to be rather normal imho, your browser need to buffer a part of the video before it starts playing and thus this takes some time. Keep in mind that the data is not local but online.
It may be an idea to include a movie hosted on Stream?

Hello juhakalliola I found a similar question in our answers.microsoft.com tech support site that offers suggestions that may help you. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-play-powerpoint-video-in-team-meeting/af59e2cf-14c7-4f12-9384-be32ed7e75f9
- juhakalliolaCopper ContributorThanks, but that was not what I was looking for.
To be clear, the video is embedded in the PowerPoint presentation and when the presentation file (pptx) is loaded to Teams and when you reach the slide where the video is embedded, it takes too long time before the video starts to play, about 20-30 seconds if it's a few minutes long video- DirkHaexBrass Contributor
