Video empedded in to PowerPoint presentation takes a long time to load
- Jul 06, 2020
This seems to be rather normal imho, your browser need to buffer a part of the video before it starts playing and thus this takes some time. Keep in mind that the data is not local but online.
It may be an idea to include a movie hosted on Stream?
To be clear, the video is embedded in the PowerPoint presentation and when the presentation file (pptx) is loaded to Teams and when you reach the slide where the video is embedded, it takes too long time before the video starts to play, about 20-30 seconds if it's a few minutes long video

DirkHaex thanks.
Even I am not using Teams in browser?
I load the PowerPoint to the Teams client on my Windos 10 using the PowerPoint sections Browse function. When loaded, the presentation opens in Teams where you can present it from. But is that like a browser then?

If you upload your video to https://web.microsoftstream.com/ you can use the add video in PowerPoint to stream directly from Microsoft Stream. Caching is much faster then when you embed the video in the powerpoint file stays small and loads much quicker.
Copy the movie link from stream
