Using Teams for dial-in audio conferencing
I have been trying to convince our organization to use Teams for video and audio conferencing, especially since we all use Office 365 Premium anyway and Teams is included. But everybody instead uses a different app mainly for one reason: it offers dial-in numbers that are available around the world and thus allow participants to call in without long-distance charges. So, can Teams be set up with something similar or are there existing dial-in numbers around the world that we can use for people to call in? I would love to have everybody switch over but this is the biggest sticking point. Thanks

You need to buy the Add-On Audio Conferencing. With this Dial-in information will be added to the meeting invite. Each user that wants dial-in to their meeting need this license and it is only the user that schedules the meeting that need this. With this license you will get local numbers around the world.
LinusCansby Thanks Linus. If I am reading this right, it seems for about an extra $5 per user for the audio conferencing license, they can get this audio capability. Are there any extra charges that apply as well? I see information on phone rates and stuff and this confuses me. Also, I believe when I last checked this out, I thought it required all of our 30 users to have this subscription before the dial-in capability worked. You mentioned that only the user who coordinates the meeting needs this. Can you confirm for me again on this? Thanks
If you don't have any special license agreement you should be able to buy this add-on for only one or a few users.
To get Audio Conferencing:
Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Go to Billing > Purchase services > Add-on subscriptions.
You'll see the prices and option to buy Audio Conferencing.
There is included dial-out minutes, 60 minutes per license but they are not locked to one user instead they are work as a credit pool for all Audio Conferencing users.

There is no extra charges, but if you have Toll-free numbers you have to have communication credits and then you pay per caller and minute.
As an option to Audio Conferencing license you can buy Communication Credits and get an special license from your license partner (free license). Then you pay per minute for each caller, that is instead of Audio Conferencing Add-On.
