Using mailto in posts
Every once in a while I would like to post a message in a team with the email address of someone to contact for more information. If they're in the group I can do this very easily using @... However,...

It's 2024 and I still can't do this (PC/Windows). When I try to add the link with mailto: syntax, Teams tells me it's an invalid link. If I CTRL+K, then I can add a mailto: address and Teams automatically appends http://, but it still doesn't work.
The user I'm trying to link to is in the company Outlook address book, just not the specific Teams group where I'm referencing him. Why is this so hard?
I've tried accessing the 2 links to uservoice provided in this chain, but they're both 404/not accessible anymore.
And does anyone at Microsoft care that people have been asking for this for 4 years? SMH
