Unable to eDiscover / Content Search any messages from Teams Shared Channels
Hi there,
I'm having difficulty using Content Search or E-Discover to retrieve posts/replies in Shared Channels. I have done an ediscovery standard/premium on the parent team but nothing from the Shared Channel posts appear. Can someone help? According to Microsoft Support there is no such feature but there seems to be multiple documentation pages indicating that there is. Perhaps im searching for the wrong thing? Thanks in advance

shaundot unfortunately I could reproduce, I'll return if I make it work, maybe opening a support request would do no harm too 🙂
- Hi Andres, yes, Microsoft Support confirmed that this function is not available and they are looking into the discrepancy in the website documentation. Its just surprising that such a basic compliance requirement of keeping records of messages is not available. Its quite misleading and poses a big operational risk to companies who assume that the functionality is available based on the documentation, only to find that there are no compliance records of these messages when they really need to produce these records.
