Unable to create new Teams organization after deleting old one

Hello! 

 

I created a Teams free organization earlier this year but deleted it back in August. Now I need to create a new Teams free organization but I'm unable to.

 

When I try to create a new Teams free org with the same e-mail address used before, I always get the error saying "Something went wrong, Please try again.".

 

I tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), different OS (Windows, macOS, iOS) and even different network connections. But nothing seems to help.

 

Is there ANY solution possible (besides creating a new ms account)?

    dikay96  Hi it can be sometimes very tricky if you switch from paid versions of Teams to the free version or vice-versa . Have you followed the same steps while deleting the org  as suggested in this Link ? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-your-teams-free-organization-2c28cfcf-3fbf-497c-938f-8815a8f6a6b9

      N_Seth Thank you for your response but I never used a paid Teams version. I created a Teams free organization back in march but deleted it in August since it's no longer needed.

       

      Now I need to create a new Teams free organization but I can't (see the errors mentioned above). The "old" organization was deleted with the steps you mentioned an provided by microsoft.

        dikay96 Hi I have tried to replicate your issue and I was successfully able to create or even rename the new org. Just bear in mind you can't change the org more than 3 times in last 24 hours. The free Teams comes with some limitations and restrictions.

         

         

        Also, I suggest  to force refresh the Teams profile by following the below link. Be careful not to follows these steps if you are not very technical:
