This is still an annoying issue. The only (easy) workaround I've found is on MacOS and it's to use the three-finger-scroll-up movement on the trackpad to bring up all of the apps that are open and then manually click on the call window (that is always BEHIND the main Teams window 🙄). Of course that doesn't help with Windows or mouse-users. Come on Microsoft, get on this.
