Teams not updating

Question

Good day all,We are having issues with Teams not updating Automatically within our environment.We have&nbsp; to constantly update it manually by clicking the download button and running the .exe file.&nbsp;We have +- 1500 users. Is their a way to update the app through sccm?Could we possibly be blocking the update to come through on our side?Please help!&nbsp;RegardsDarren&nbsp;

Darren007&nbsp;I guess that the manual update process in Teams doesn't work either? (Click on profile picture and select Check for Updates).&nbsp;The automatic update should run 15 minutes after a user signs in to Teams. If there is an available update it should be downloaded and wait until Teams app been idle for 30 minutes. When the update is installed it will ask the user to restart Teams client.&nbsp;&nbsp;When a automatic update is installed it will not update again for a week (or if it was 5 days).&nbsp;The first URL that your Teams client tests is&nbsp;https://teams.microsoft.com/desktopclient/update/&lt;currentversion&gt;/windows/x64?ring=general to see if there any updates available. Then it will get a download URL to the exe from here:https://teams.microsoft.com/desktopclient/installer/windows/x64And lastly download the installation file from here:https://statics.teams.microsoft.com/production-windows-x64/&lt;latestversion&gt;/Teams_windows_x64.exe&nbsp;So check if your Windows machine is able to reach those URLs, if not check if there is something blocking access like a firewall or proxy.

The client should update itself, but there is a lag time when a build becomes available for someone clicking manually check for updates vs. the auto updating to occur. How far back are your updates or are you just noticing you get an update when manually checking vs. not? If that's the case it's due to the forced update vs. manual checking.

Anyway, there is no support for sccm etc. for updating Teams currently and we have to depend on the built in update feature.
