Teams Business Voice business line call flow

There is the director of a one-person organization in our office. Calls to that organization's main number ring to our single receptionist. If calls are not answered, they go directly into the director's voicemail. It seemed at first like this would be much simpler than creating the call queue and auto attendant for our larger organizations, but it has stumped me so far. Since there's only one person in the organization, callers don't need to select from different options in the auto attendant. However, when I get to the point of directing unanswered calls to the director, the only option for voicemail is an Office 365 group. How do I get the calls to just go right to the director's voicemail? Help!

Unfortunately there is no option, that I've been able to find, to send a call queue to an individual voice mail.

I found a rough work around. I created an Office 365 group that contains only the organization's director. It's not ideal because the director doesn't see voicemail notifications in Teams. The best I was able to do was change the settings for the one-person group in the Office 365 Admin center to send an email alert with an attached MP3 recording. It would be really helpful if sending a call to a person's voicemail was an option in auto attendants or call queues. It probably took a week of staff time to come up with this solution.

That's how I've solved that same situation as well. Not the prettiest, and we've had folks complain about the missing notifications on devices as well. However, it does give some additional benefits such as being able to add additional folks to manage the voicemail if needed, or the group can have double duty and be a recipient of the call and the destination for voicemail (rather than assign individual users).
